My name is Lisa Walker and I was born and raised in Schenectady NY on Easter Sunday, so my dad gave me the nickname Bunny. I have three beautiful children, 2 daughters and a son who are the loves of my life. I read my Bible daily. I am a singer song-writer, model and actress. I enjoy spending my days working in my community with people that have developmental disabilities that cannot be in the community on their own. I went to college in Troy NY and studied English. I decided to pursue writing full time and started freelancing. I’ve lived and traveled to North Carolina, Georgia and then decided to move to Saratoga Springs in 2020. To date I’ve released an album titled Me vs Me part I, and I’ve released singles “More Than Gold”, “Jealous” & my latest single “All In Me” are all available on all streaming platforms. Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
I’m a single parent to three amazing children. Sjanariay 21, Parris 17, and Jacob 12. My children are truly the reason I do not give up on my dreams. They created a leader in me. Sjanariay is finishing her first semester of college , Jacob plays basketball for the Saratoga YMCA, Parris was selected for the National Society of High School Scholars for outstanding academics at SSHS!
Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
I’m currently working on promoting my music, while volunteering in my community, two things that I absolutely love! I currently work as an Employment Support Professional at AIM services INC here in Saratoga during the day, and I work on writing, editing, and marketing my music in the evenings. What I love most about my current career is that I’m doing what love and I’m able to support my family while doing it. My family means everything to me.

Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
Los Angeles California. As a child, my dream was to have a house on the hills of California.
Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
Pretty Woman is my favorite movie. Fresh Prince of Bel-air is my favorite TV show!
Q: What advice would you give to people?
To put God first in everything that you do and read your Bible.
Q: What is something on your bucket list?
To travel to Paris to visit the Eiffel tower, and to go to Columbia for coffee!

Q: What current or former local business makes you the most nostalgic about our community?
I love the fact that Saratoga Springs has either Karaoke or Open Mic almost every night of the week. It is truly amazing!
Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?
I would love to have lunch with Oprah Winfrey. We would meet at Spot Coffee in Saratoga for a lavender latte and a biscotti !
Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
I love that Saratoga Springs is a family.
Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
As a major recording artist, helping rebuild communities all over the world!

I enjoy spending time alone.

April is my favorite Month. Christmas is my favorite holiday. Easter is my favorite day on the calendar.
