In 1998 I agreed to a brief layover in Saratoga Springs and have gratefully called this home ever since! My parents and their terriers live here now, too. If my brother joins us I will be perfectly positioned to re-live my childhood. Good thing a lot of my friends are therapists.

Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
My wife, the native Saratogian who imported me from Atlanta, and I have two teenage sons. They hate winter and wish we’d birthed them in Atlanta.

Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
I am an individual, couple and sex therapist. Best job in the world for me. It is inspiring, challenging and never ever dull.

Pema Chodron, an American Tibetan Buddhist. Wise and witty and humble. I’d like to meet on top of a mountain in the Adirondacks with Sandwiches from Putnam Market. I imagine she’d have some interesting things to say about aging that I’d like to hear.
