I was raised in Saratoga from the age of five. From kindergarten until walking across the stage of SPAC for high school graduation. I currently work at the Saratoga flat track as the Shop Steward, overhead fire suppression foreman and track crew lead man.

 

Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
My father was Senior financial analysts for General Foods. My mother was a stay at home mom, and my older sister a musician and computer guru.

Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
I very much enjoy my current job working at the Saratoga flat track. I have been a Sprinkler Fitter for 25 years. Working for Local 669 before changing over to Local 3 at Saratoga. IBEW, an electrician Union that holds my card as a Sprinkler fitter. Who knew?

Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?
I have always been a huge fan of OBI. I installed the fire suppression system in that restaurant. Also love Bailey’s and Wheatfields. I’ve always had a weakness for good quality food in a home town environment.

Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community?
I’ve lived in Saratoga for the better part of 40 years. And I’ve worked here for close to the same. Something about this town that presents itself as a warm and fuzzy hug.

Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community?
One of the most interesting people I’ve met here was Mary Lou Whitney. Her history here has influenced not only myself, but many other influential people in our historical little town.

Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
I would love to see Brazil. I’ve been many different places and countries, but I think the culture of Brazil would align with my personality.

Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
I am a huge fan of murder mystery films. So in that, perhaps Hannibal.

Q: What advice would you give to people?
My advice to people would be to live your truth, and do so with grace and humility

Q: What is something on your bucket list?
I would love to say that I’ve been everyplace I’ve ever wanted to go in this world.

Q: What is your go to band when you can’t decide what to listen to?
I’m always going to be a Toto fan.

Q: What current or former local business makes you the most nostalgic about our community?
I’m always glad to see Adirondack Trust. It’s how I know I’m home.

Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?
I would choose to have lunch with Bruce Hornsby at the OBI. Purely selfish reasons. I would want to know his secrets to becoming an accomplished pianist and musician.

Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
Saratoga performing arts center is my favorite place to be in our community. There is just something so peaceful about it.

Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
I will hopefully be in Saratoga, helping this community grow and prosper.

Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
I play the keyboard and sing. Not many people are aware of this.

Q: What is the most beautiful place you have ever been?
So far I’d have to say Niagara Falls.

Q: Favorite month? favorite holiday? and best single day on the calendar?
August. Christmas. The first day of Summer is always going to be the best single day.

Q: What would you rate a 10 out of 10?
Humpty Dumptys banana ice cream

Q: Who inspires you to be better?
Anyone who can teach me something new.

Q: What is one or two of your favorite smells?
Eggnog! Nothing better.

Warm fuzzy hug.
