Please tell us a little bit about your family.
My parents met and got married in Saratoga Springs, but moved to Alexandria, Virginia in 2004. We returned to Saratoga in 2010 for my dad’s job and because I could start school earlier in New York than in Virginia. My dad is the Director of Finance and Intergovernmental Affairs for the New York State Association of Counties. My mom is the owner of an event and marketing business, sofiEvents. It has always meant a lot to me that my parents decided to move to benefit my education.
What are your plans after graduation?
After graduation, I will be attending Georgetown University with an intended major of neurobiology on a pre-med track. I am also hoping to continue musical theater in college, either through a minor or an additional major.
What are two of your favorite restaurants in our community?
I like going to Boca Bistro with my family and Cantina with my friends.
If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
I would love to go to Paris, France. I took French in high school and have always been interested in French culture and fashion.
What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
My favorite movie is Love Actually and my favorite TV show is Bones.
If you were asked to give advice to your senior class and the younger students at your school, what would you say?
The advice I would give is to never say no to spending time with your friends. Life can be busy, especially as a student, but it’s important to make time for the people that you care about. Not only can will you make memories that will last forever, but you may also learn things from your friends that you can’t learn in school.
If you were able to be cast as yourself into a television show or series, what show would you want to be in?

If you could choose anyone to have lunch with, who would you choose? Why? And where, locally, would you meet for this lunch?
I would choose to have lunch with Lin-Manuel Miranda. As a writer and actress, I would be interested to hear how he balances writing musicals while also being in them. We could go to Sweet Mimi’s for lunch.
What is your favorite thing about our community?
I love the small businesses. It’s cool to see local artists and entrepreneurs forging their own paths.
Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
After college, I plan to attend either medical school or graduate school and I would love to live in a city – particularly New York City!
What is something on your bucket list?
Publishing the novel that I’ve been working on
What is your go to band / singer when you can’t decide what to listen to?
Billy Joel
Favorite month? favorite holiday? and best single day on the calendar?
My favorite month is December and my favorite holiday is Christmas. The best day on the calendar is January 1 because it marks the start of a blank slate and is also my parents’ wedding anniversary.
