Please tell us a little bit about your family.
I’m an only child but I have an amazing extended family! I have 5 cats who I love and a golden retriever named Rosie. My mom is my best friend! She works part time in admissions for both Skidmore College and The Columbia MBA program. My dad works in sales for AT&T.
What are your plans after graduation?
I will be attending Marist University in Poughkeepsie, New York to major in psychology and possibly childhood education. There I will continue to be involved in Best Buddies which is currently a deep passion of mine and I plan on joining the dance ensemble to continue my dancing career.
What are two of your favorite restaurants in our community?
I love Duo Japanese and Mama Mia’s.
If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
I would love to go to the Galapagos Islands. It’s so beautiful and I love ocean wildlife.
What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
I love the movie Champions and got to meet the cast at the Best Buddies Leadership Conferance last summer! My favorite TV shows are 9-1-1 and The Vampire Diaries.
If you were asked to give advice to your senior class and the younger students at your school, what would you say?
I would say cherish every moment and things will all work out in the end!
If you were able to be cast as yourself into a television show or series, what show would you want to be in?
The Vampire Diaries
If you could choose anyone to have lunch with, who would you choose? Why? And where, locally, would you meet for this lunch?
I would love to eat lunch with Tate McRae, she is my favorite singer/dancer. I would probably want to go downtown for lunch and then go somewhere for her to teach me one of the dance routines from her concerts!
What is your favorite thing about our community?
It’s small but still has everything I need. It has great restaurants, shopping, and lots of things to do!
Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
I see myself working for Best Buddies or another non-profit.
What is something on your bucket list?
This is more of a dream but I would love to start my own Cat Cafe.

Tate McRae
Favorite month? favorite holiday? and best single day on the calendar?
My favorite month is February because I love my birthday! My favorite holiday is Christmas because I love the music and decorations. The best day on the calendar is Thanksgiving because I get to spend time with my whole extended family!
